Boldly unique, magical, and dramatic are just a few words associated with the works of Ashton Howard. As a dedicated Waterman and Surfer, Ashton captures an incredibly unique perspective of our oceans waves and surrounding landscapes. He is constantly searching for new ways to express the many moods and feelings connected with our diverse and amazing lifestyle. Through his vision, this talented artist has truly changed “The View” of the modern day tropical landscape. 

Ashton Howard was born in the beautiful countryside of Florida’s gulf coast. Growing up around the ocean, his early experiences in nature would later become a huge influence in his passion for travel and discovery throughout the world.

California. Arriving in San Clemente, California he has called this home for nearly 6 years. “I was a struggling artist for many years, teaching surf lessons, painting surf boards and occasionally selling originals. My favourite memory of starting out as an artist in California is of Laguna Beach. I would drive up the coast everyday and sit in the park and sell my mini “Rock” Originals. I would gather these beautiful smooth sea stones and paint little landscapes and waves on each one. This proved to be a good income for quite sometime and eventually led to many other opportunities. Over the years, Ashton and his wife Emilie have branded his name and built a reputation as one of the most young and successful up and coming Tropical Artists of his time. Together they have earned over 25 of the best galleries in the world that represent his work, including the majority of coastal areas and others in the U.S., Hawaii, Canada, and Internationally in Japan. On any given day you can find Ash enjoying our oceans from his home in California to back home on the Gulf Coast. Whether it is Fishing, Surfing, Diving, Paddling or shooting photos, the important thing is to get out there and love your Ocean. “The Sea is my life, my passion, and my continual source of inspiration. I am alive and free, reminded of how lucky we are to be surrounded by the natural wonders of this beautiful world.”
